Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tending to the horses on a Rotterdam quay by August Willem van Voorden was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2007. The price achieved of EUR 2,500.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by August Willem van Voorden achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Steenkolen transport: Transportation of Coals in May 2010 with an auction result of EUR 27,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Tending to the horses on a Rotterdam quay von August Willem van Voorden kam im September 2007 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 2.500,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von August Willem van Voorden erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Steenkolen transport: Transportation of Coals im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 27.400,00.
