Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by August Querfurt could be acquired at Sothebys in London in November 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master Paintings auction, the work A Landscape With A Gentleman And A Lady Conversing With Two Men On Horseback changed hands for GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,900.91) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by August Querfurt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Turkish Siege Of Vienna in June 2012 with an auction result of USD 80,500.00 (€ 63,545.94).
In der Auktion Old Master Paintings wechselte die Arbeit A Landscape With A Gentleman And A Lady Conversing With Two Men On Horseback für GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.900,91) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00.
