Auction result misses estimated price range
In October last year a collector was able to acquire the work A battle scene with a fallen horse; and A battle scene with fallen soldiers by August Querfurt for USD 4,788.00 (€ 4,819.81). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master Paintings and Sculpture Online at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by August Querfurt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Turkish Siege Of Vienna in June 2012 with an auction result of USD 80,500.00 (€ 63,545.94).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A battle scene with a fallen horse; and A battle scene with fallen soldiers von August Querfurt für USD 4.788,00 (€ 4.819,81) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master Paintings and Sculpture Online bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von August Querfurt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Turkish Siege Of Vienna im Juni 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 80.500,00 (€ 63.545,94).
