Sold at the upper estimate price
In April 2006 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Pictures, which included the work A Hawking Party By A Village, An Extensive Landscape Beyond by August Querfurt. The auction ended at the price of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 4,329.85), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by August Querfurt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Turkish Siege Of Vienna in June 2012 with an auction result of USD 80,500.00 (€ 63,545.94).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im April 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Hawking Party By A Village, An Extensive Landscape Beyond von August Querfurt zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 3.000,00 (€ 4.329,85) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von August Querfurt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Turkish Siege Of Vienna im Juni 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 80.500,00 (€ 63.545,94).
