Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Huntsman On Horseback With Others Outside A Walled Palace; Horsemen And Cavaliers By Ruins by August Querfurt was sold in the Two Great Scottish Collections: Property from the Forbeses of Pitsligo and the Marquesses of Lothian auction at Sothebys in London in March 2017. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,859.51) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by August Querfurt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Turkish Siege Of Vienna in June 2012 with an auction result of USD 80,500.00 (€ 63,545.94).

Die Arbeit A Huntsman On Horseback With Others Outside A Walled Palace; Horsemen And Cavaliers By Ruins von August Querfurt wurde im März 2017 in der Auktion Two Great Scottish Collections: Property from the Forbeses of Pitsligo and the Marquesses of Lothian bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.859,51) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von August Querfurt erzielen.
