Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2015 Christies in London held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art, which included the work German Measles: Kiefer's Cell by Atul Dodiya. The price achieved of GBP 62,500.00 (€ 88,124.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Admittedly, works by Atul Dodiya have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Three Painters in September 2007 with an auction result of USD 541,000.00 (€ 380,476.83).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2015 führte Christies in London die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit German Measles: Kiefer's Cell von Atul Dodiya zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 62.500,00 (€ 88.124,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Atul Dodiya auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Three Painters im September 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 541.000,00 (€ 380.476,83).
