Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2015 Phillips in London held the auction Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Snake Head Painting by Ashley Bickerton. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 16,250.00 (€ 22,912.30). Admittedly, works by Ashley Bickerton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Seascape: Floating Costume to Drift for Eternity II in November 2013 with an auction result of USD 221,000.00 (€ 162,428.34).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2015 führte Phillips in London die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Snake Head Painting von Ashley Bickerton zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 16.250,00 (€ 22.912,30) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ashley Bickerton auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Seascape: Floating Costume to Drift for Eternity II im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 221.000,00 (€ 162.428,34).
