Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A.B. 8 by Ashley Bickerton was sold in the New Now auction at Phillips in New York in September 2016. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,561.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ashley Bickerton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Seascape: Floating Costume to Drift for Eternity II in November 2013 with an auction result of USD 221,000.00 (€ 162,428.34).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A.B. 8 von Ashley Bickerton wurde im September 2016 in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.561,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ashley Bickerton erzielen.
