Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Natura morta con melograne by Arturo Tosi was auctioned at Il Ponte in December 2015, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 1,400.00 – 1,600.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 1,300.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arturo Tosi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paese di San Lorenzo in November 2000 with an auction result of ITL 42,300,000.00 (€ 38,923.40).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Natura morta con melograne von Arturo Tosi im Dezember 2015 bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.400,00 – 1.600,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 1.300,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arturo Tosi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Paese di San Lorenzo im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von ITL 42.300.000,00 (€ 38.923,40).
