Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Between Obscured Memories by Arturo Sanchez was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 70,000.00 – 90,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 60,000.00 (€ 6,342.46). Other works by Arturo Sanchez have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in May 2012 by the work Between Obscured Memories at HKD 106,250.00 (€ 11,068.42).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Between Obscured Memories von Arturo Sanchez im Mai 2021 bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 70.000,00 – 90.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 60.000,00 (€ 6.342,46) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Arturo Sanchez wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Mai 2012 die Arbeit Between Obscured Memories mit HKD 106.250,00 (€ 11.068,42).
