Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2013 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings, which included the work When Words Have Lost Their Meaning by Arturo Sanchez. The price achieved of HKD 50,000.00 (€ 4,894.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Arturo Sanchez - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Between Obscured Memories, which sold at auction in May 2012 for HKD 106,250.00 (€ 11,068.42).
