Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The fishing fleet moored at the quay, evening by Arthur Wilde Parsons was sold in the Christie's Interiors auction at Christies in London in January 2009. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 500.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 562.50 (€ 633.19) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arthur Wilde Parsons achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Towing out the tramp in May 2004 with an auction result of GBP 8,962.50 (€ 13,447.05).

Die Arbeit The fishing fleet moored at the quay, evening von Arthur Wilde Parsons wurde im Januar 2009 in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 500,00 – 800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 562,50 (€ 633,19) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arthur Wilde Parsons erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Towing out the tramp im Mai 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.962,50 (€ 13.447,05).
