Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 6,572.50 (€ 6,709.37). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Arthur Wilde Parsons - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Towing out the tramp, which sold at auction in May 2004 for GBP 8,962.50 (€ 13,447.05).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Dutch Ships at Sea von Arthur Wilde Parsons wurde im Juli 2002 in der Auktion Maritime bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 6.572,50 (€ 6.709,37) einen neuen Besitzer.
