Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A boat yard, Newquay by Arthur Wilde Parsons was auctioned at Christies in London in February 2002. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 411.25 (€ 671.12) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arthur Wilde Parsons achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Towing out the tramp in May 2004 with an auction result of GBP 8,962.50 (€ 13,447.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A boat yard, Newquay von Arthur Wilde Parsons kam im Februar 2002 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 411,25 (€ 671,12) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arthur Wilde Parsons erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Towing out the tramp im Mai 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.962,50 (€ 13.447,05).
