Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dunstanborough Castle by Arthur Wilde Parsons was sold in the Maritime auction at Christies in London in May 2000. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,465.00 (€ 7,164.68) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Arthur Wilde Parsons have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2004 the work Towing out the tramp was auctioned for GBP 8,962.50 (€ 13,447.05).

Die Arbeit Dunstanborough Castle von Arthur Wilde Parsons wurde im Mai 2000 in der Auktion Maritime bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.465,00 (€ 7.164,68) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Arthur Wilde Parsons konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2004 die Arbeit Towing out the tramp für GBP 8.962,50 (€ 13.447,05) versteigert.
