In November 2020 Bonhams in London held the auction British and European Art, which included the work Bulldog by Arthur Wardle. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,805.00 (€ 3,131.33), 40% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arthur Wardle achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Fairy Tale "All seemed to sleep, the timid hare on form" - Scott. in July 2013 with an auction result of GBP 337,875.00 (€ 386,081.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 40 % übertroffen
Im November 2020 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion British and European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bulldog von Arthur Wardle zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.805,00 (€ 3.131,33) und damit 40% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arthur Wardle erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Fairy Tale "All seemed to sleep, the timid hare on form" - Scott. im Juli 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 337.875,00 (€ 386.081,08).
