Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2013 Christies in Paris held the auction Agathe Gaillard et la photographie : Une pionnière à Paris, which included the work Sans Titre, Vers 1980 by Arthur Tress. It changed hands for a price of EUR 1,375.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Arthur Tress - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Presidential Cabinet (Portfolio), which sold at auction in November this year for USD 5,120.00 (€ 4,693.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2013 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Agathe Gaillard et la photographie : Une pionnière à Paris durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sans Titre, Vers 1980 von Arthur Tress zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 1.375,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Arthur Tress mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Presidential Cabinet (Portfolio) beobachtet, die im November diesen Jahres für USD 5.120,00 (€ 4.693,80) versteigert wurde.
