Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2007 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture, which included the work Moonlit Landscape by Arthur Parton. The »bidding war« ended at USD 9,375.00 (€ 6,479.82), 17% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Arthur Parton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Lake Scene in September 2020 with an auction result of USD 32,760.00 (€ 27,956.99).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2007 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Moonlit Landscape von Arthur Parton zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 6.479,82) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Arthur Parton auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Lake Scene im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 32.760,00 (€ 27.956,99).
