Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Arthur Parton could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in September 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Art auction, the work Summer Afternoon On The Delaware changed hands for USD 7,560.00 (€ 6,451.61) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Arthur Parton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Lake Scene in September 2020 with an auction result of USD 32,760.00 (€ 27,956.99).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Arthur Parton konnte im September 2020 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion American Art wechselte die Arbeit Summer Afternoon On The Delaware für USD 7.560,00 (€ 6.451,61) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Arthur Parton auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Lake Scene im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 32.760,00 (€ 27.956,99).
