Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2001 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL DRAWINGS AND WATERCOLOURS AND ILLUST, which included the work A figure on a beach in a moonlit landscape by Albert Moulton Foweraker. The price achieved of GBP 587.50 (€ 959.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Admittedly, works by Albert Moulton Foweraker have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Moonlight in a Spanish landscape (illustrated); On the steps at Tarn, France; and Moonlight, Newton St. Cyres, Devon in September 2005 with an auction result of GBP 2,880.00 (€ 4,226.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2001 führte Christies in London die Auktion BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL DRAWINGS AND WATERCOLOURS AND ILLUST durch, in der auch die Arbeit A figure on a beach in a moonlit landscape von Albert Moulton Foweraker zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 587,50 (€ 959,89) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Albert Moulton Foweraker auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Moonlight in a Spanish landscape (illustrated); On the steps at Tarn, France; and Moonlight, Newton St. Cyres, Devon im September 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.880,00 (€ 4.226,61).
