This artwork by Albert Moulton Foweraker achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March 2004. In the British and Continental Watercolours auction, the work On the outskirts of a Spanish village sold for GBP 1,314.50 (€ 1,967.69) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 700.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Albert Moulton Foweraker - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Moonlight in a Spanish landscape (illustrated); On the steps at Tarn, France; and Moonlight, Newton St. Cyres, Devon, which sold at auction in September 2005 for GBP 2,880.00 (€ 4,226.61).
