Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2006 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Watercolours, which included the work Out For The Evening, St. Ives by Albert Moulton Foweraker. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 840.00 (€ 1,229.66), 20% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Albert Moulton Foweraker - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Moonlight in a Spanish landscape (illustrated); On the steps at Tarn, France; and Moonlight, Newton St. Cyres, Devon, which sold at auction in September 2005 for GBP 2,880.00 (€ 4,226.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit Out For The Evening, St. Ives von Albert Moulton Foweraker zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 840,00 (€ 1.229,66) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Albert Moulton Foweraker mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Moonlight in a Spanish landscape (illustrated); On the steps at Tarn, France; and Moonlight, Newton St. Cyres, Devon beobachtet, die im September 2005 für GBP 2.880,00 (€ 4.226,61) versteigert wurde.
