Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait Of Christabel Cockerell, Lady Frampton by Arthur Hacker for GBP 11,875.00 (€ 16,136.11). This price was achieved in the auction Victorian & Edwardian at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Arthur Hacker have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Musicienne du Silence in June 2003 with an auction result of GBP 77,675.00 (€ 111,623.20).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Portrait Of Christabel Cockerell, Lady Frampton von Arthur Hacker für GBP 11.875,00 (€ 16.136,11) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Victorian & Edwardian bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Arthur Hacker auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Musicienne du Silence im Juni 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 77.675,00 (€ 111.623,20).
