Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Oporto, Portugal by Arthur Hacker was sold in the Victorian & Traditionalist Art auction at Christies in London in February 2009. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,536.80). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arthur Hacker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Musicienne du Silence in June 2003 with an auction result of GBP 77,675.00 (€ 111,623.20).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Oporto, Portugal von Arthur Hacker wurde im Februar 2009 in der Auktion Victorian & Traditionalist Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.536,80) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arthur Hacker erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Musicienne du Silence im Juni 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 77.675,00 (€ 111.623,20).
