It achieved a price of GBP 38,900.00 (€ 52,858.50), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 30%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Arthur Hacker - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Musicienne du Silence, which sold at auction in June 2003 for GBP 77,675.00 (€ 111,623.20).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 38.900,00 (€ 52.858,50) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 30%. Für andere Arbeiten von Arthur Hacker mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Musicienne du Silence beobachtet, die im Juni 2003 für GBP 77.675,00 (€ 111.623,20) versteigert wurde.
