Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2013 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Duck Shooting by Arthur Fitzwilliam Tait. The price achieved of USD 197,000.00 (€ 151,678.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 180,000.00 – 220,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arthur Fitzwilliam Tait achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Check--Keep Your Distance in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 2,841,000.00 (€ 1,934,232.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2013 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Duck Shooting von Arthur Fitzwilliam Tait zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 197.000,00 (€ 151.678,47) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 180.000,00 – 220.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arthur Fitzwilliam Tait erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Check--Keep Your Distance im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.841.000,00 (€ 1.934.232,03).
