Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Duck Shooting, Some of the Right Sort by Arthur Fitzwilliam Tait was sold in the American Art auction at Christies in New York in May 2014. The price achieved of USD 845,000.00 (€ 619,501.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 700,000.00 – 1,000,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Arthur Fitzwilliam Tait - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Check--Keep Your Distance, which sold at auction in November 2007 for USD 2,841,000.00 (€ 1,934,232.03).

Die Arbeit Duck Shooting, Some of the Right Sort von Arthur Fitzwilliam Tait wurde im Mai 2014 in der Auktion American Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 845.000,00 (€ 619.501,47) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 700.000,00 – 1.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Arthur Fitzwilliam Tait mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Check--Keep Your Distance beobachtet, die im November 2007 für USD 2.841.000,00 (€ 1.934.232,03) versteigert wurde.
