Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2007 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Contemporary Art, which included the work Made In Liverpool, 1965 by Arthur Dooley. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 700.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 744.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Arthur Dooley - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Figure of Christ 82cm (32 5/16in) high, which sold at auction in April last year for GBP 2,295.00 (€ 2,736.71).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2007 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Made In Liverpool, 1965 von Arthur Dooley zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 700,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 744,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Arthur Dooley mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Figure of Christ 82cm (32 5/16in) high beobachtet, die im April letzten Jahres für GBP 2.295,00 (€ 2.736,71) versteigert wurde.
