A top price for Arthur Dooley - as previously expected
In April last year Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Figure of Christ 82cm (32 5/16in) high by Arthur Dooley. The price achieved of GBP 2,295.00 (€ 2,736.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Figure of Christ 82cm (32 5/16in) high is the most expensive artwork by Arthur Dooley that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im April letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Figure of Christ 82cm (32 5/16in) high von Arthur Dooley zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.295,00 (€ 2.736,71) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Figure of Christ 82cm (32 5/16in) high das teuerste Kunstwerk von Arthur Dooley, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
