This artwork by Arthur Dooley achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in April 2008. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work St Veronica sold for GBP 1,187.50 (€ 1,513.89) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 500.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Arthur Dooley; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Figure of Christ 82cm (32 5/16in) high sold at auction in April last year with the realized price of GBP 2,295.00 (€ 2,736.71).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Arthur Dooley erzielte im April 2008 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wurde die Arbeit St Veronica für GBP 1.187,50 (€ 1.513,89) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 500,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Arthur Dooley; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Figure of Christ 82cm (32 5/16in) high im April letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 2.295,00 (€ 2.736,71).
