Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2003 a collector was able to acquire the work Centurian by Arthur Dooley for GBP 940.00 (€ 1,361.71). This price was achieved in the auction TWENTIETH CENTURY BRITISH ART at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Arthur Dooley - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Figure of Christ 82cm (32 5/16in) high, which sold at auction in April last year for GBP 2,295.00 (€ 2,736.71).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2003 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Centurian von Arthur Dooley für GBP 940,00 (€ 1.361,71) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion TWENTIETH CENTURY BRITISH ART bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Arthur Dooley mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Figure of Christ 82cm (32 5/16in) high beobachtet, die im April letzten Jahres für GBP 2.295,00 (€ 2.736,71) versteigert wurde.
