In December 2021 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Post-War & Contemporary - Day Sale, which included the work Sans Titre - Circa 1965 by Arpad Szenès. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 7,800.00 73% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Arpad Szenès have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Discussion in December 2007 with an auction result of EUR 60,250.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 73 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary - Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sans Titre - Circa 1965 von Arpad Szenès zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 7.800,00 und damit 73% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Arpad Szenès auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Discussion im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 60.250,00.
