A top price for Arpad Szenès - as previously expected
In December 2007 Christies in Paris held the auction Art d'Après-Guerre et Contemporain, which included the work Discussion by Arpad Szenès. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 60,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Discussion is the most expensive artwork by Arpad Szenès that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Dezember 2007 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Art d'Après-Guerre et Contemporain durch, in der auch die Arbeit Discussion von Arpad Szenès zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 60.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Discussion das teuerste Kunstwerk von Arpad Szenès, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
