The work Sable by Arpad Szenès was sold in the Art Contemporain auction at Sothebys in Paris in June 2014. It achieved a price of EUR 9,375.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 34 %. Admittedly, works by Arpad Szenès have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Discussion in December 2007 with an auction result of EUR 60,250.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 34 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Sable von Arpad Szenès wurde im Juni 2014 in der Auktion Art Contemporain bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 9.375,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 34 %. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Arpad Szenès auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Discussion im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 60.250,00.
