Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2014 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Art Contemporain, which included the work Portalegre by Arpad Szenès. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 8,750.00. Admittedly, works by Arpad Szenès have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Discussion in December 2007 with an auction result of EUR 60,250.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2014 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Art Contemporain durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portalegre von Arpad Szenès zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 8.750,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Arpad Szenès auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Discussion im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 60.250,00.
