The work Brise XXIX - 1973 by Arpad Szenès was sold in the Post War & Contemporary Art auction at Artcurial in October 2014. It achieved a price of EUR 10,400.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 49 %. Admittedly, works by Arpad Szenès have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Discussion in December 2007 with an auction result of EUR 60,250.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 49 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Brise XXIX - 1973 von Arpad Szenès wurde im Oktober 2014 in der Auktion Post War & Contemporary Art bei Artcurial versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 10.400,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 49 %. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Arpad Szenès auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Discussion im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 60.250,00.
