In June 2013 Sothebys in London held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Works on Paper and Day Sale Morning including The Analytical Eye: The Branco Weiss Collection, which included the work Zwei Welten (Two Worlds) by Arnold Topp. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 40,000.00 (€ 46,687.16), 33% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arnold Topp achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Die Sonne ist gross und gefallen in March 2017 with an auction result of GBP 509,000.00 (€ 596,497.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2013 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Works on Paper and Day Sale Morning including The Analytical Eye: The Branco Weiss Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Zwei Welten (Two Worlds) von Arnold Topp zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 40.000,00 (€ 46.687,16) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arnold Topp erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Die Sonne ist gross und gefallen im März 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 509.000,00 (€ 596.497,76).
