Auction result well in line with expectations
The work New Orleans, C. 1920-26 by Arnold Genthe was sold in the Photographs auction at Sothebys in London in November 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,347.64) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Arnold Genthe have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2007 the work A Mixed Crowd, Old Chinatown, San Fransisco, 1895-1906 was auctioned for GBP 8,125.00 (€ 11,377.10).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit New Orleans, C. 1920-26 von Arnold Genthe wurde im November 2008 in der Auktion Photographs bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 5.250,00 (€ 6.347,64) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
