Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Poppies and haystacks by Aris Knikker was sold in the Nineteen to Now,Art from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries including Indonesian Art and Topographical Observations auction at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2010. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 1,200.00 – 1,600.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 1,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Aris Knikker - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A View Of A Village At Dusk, which sold at auction in March 2007 for EUR 3,360.00.

Die Arbeit Poppies and haystacks von Aris Knikker wurde im September 2010 in der Auktion Nineteen to Now,Art from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries including Indonesian Art and Topographical Observations bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.200,00 – 1.600,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 1.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
