In January 2006 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work The harbour of Villefrance, France by Arie Zwart. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 1,560.00 30% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Arie Zwart - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A view of the inner harbour, Hoorn, which sold at auction in January 2002 for EUR 5,640.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 30 % übertroffen
Im Januar 2006 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit The harbour of Villefrance, France von Arie Zwart zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 1.560,00 und damit 30% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Arie Zwart mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A view of the inner harbour, Hoorn beobachtet, die im Januar 2002 für EUR 5.640,00 versteigert wurde.
