This artwork by Arie Zwart achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in January 2002. In the PICTURES WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS auction, the work Avond achter Nieuwkoop sold for EUR 2,937.50 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 1,400.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Arie Zwart; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot A view of the inner harbour, Hoorn sold at auction in January 2002 with the realized price of EUR 5,640.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Arie Zwart erzielte im Januar 2002 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion PICTURES WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS wurde die Arbeit Avond achter Nieuwkoop für EUR 2.937,50 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 1.400,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Arie Zwart; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit A view of the inner harbour, Hoorn im Januar 2002 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 5.640,00.
