Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2007 Christies in London held the auction British, Continental & Russian Pictures, which included the work Corn stooks along a river bank, a castle beyond by Archibald Kay. The price achieved of GBP 1,800.00 (€ 2,635.43) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Other works by Archibald Kay have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2008 the work South Queensferry was auctioned for GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,452.15).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.800,00 (€ 2.635,43) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Archibald Kay konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2008 die Arbeit South Queensferry für GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.452,15) versteigert.
