Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The New York Times Magazine by Antonio López García was sold in the New Now auction at Phillips in London in December 2017. The price achieved of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,813.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antonio López García achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mujer durmiendo (El Sueño) in October 2005 with an auction result of EUR 684,000.00.

Die Arbeit The New York Times Magazine von Antonio López García wurde im Dezember 2017 in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 2.813,38) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Antonio López García erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mujer durmiendo (El Sueño) im Oktober 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 684.000,00.
