In November 2012 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Sale, which included the work Untitled (Penca) by Antonio Henrique Amaral. The »bidding war« ended at USD 26,250.00 (€ 20,176.79), 46% above the upper estimate. Other works by Antonio Henrique Amaral have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 34,600.00 (€ 23,556.64) in November 2007 for the work Banana no prato.
