In May 2012 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Sale, which included the work Bamboo by Antonio Henrique Amaral. The auction ended at the price of USD 20,000.00 (€ 16,175.99), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Other works by Antonio Henrique Amaral have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2007 the work Banana no prato was auctioned for USD 34,600.00 (€ 23,556.64).
