Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Alto Relieve Blanco (Large White Relief) by Antoni Tàpies was auctioned at Sothebys in London in February 2007. The auction ended at the price of GBP 150,000.00 (€ 222,369.61), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Antoni Tàpies have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Gran ocra amb incisions (Large Ochre with Incisions) in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 1,650,500.00 (€ 2,081,799.44).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Alto Relieve Blanco (Large White Relief) von Antoni Tàpies kam im Februar 2007 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 150.000,00 (€ 222.369,61) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 100.000,00 – 150.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Antoni Tàpies auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Gran ocra amb incisions (Large Ochre with Incisions) im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.650.500,00 (€ 2.081.799,44).
