Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Clipper Ship by Anton Otto Fischer was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 6,875.00 (€ 6,304.45). Other works by Anton Otto Fischer have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in October 2000 by the work The Great Armada at USD 10,575.00 (€ 12,461.70).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Clipper Ship von Anton Otto Fischer im September 2019 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 6.875,00 (€ 6.304,45) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Anton Otto Fischer wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Oktober 2000 die Arbeit The Great Armada mit USD 10.575,00 (€ 12.461,70).
