The work "Lifeboat's Through the Surf!" by Anton Otto Fischer was worth USD 8,287.50 (€ 8,471.33) to a buyer in September last year. This price was achieved in the auction American Works of Art at Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 1,200.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Anton Otto Fischer; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Great Armada sold at auction in October 2000 with the realized price of USD 10,575.00 (€ 12,461.70).
