It achieved a price of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 7,225.02), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 41%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Antoine Vollon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work French boats On An Estuary, which sold at auction in May 2013 for USD 23,750.00 (€ 18,286.11).

Die Arbeit Peaches von Antoine Vollon wurde im September 2014 in der Auktion 19th Century European Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 5.625,00 (€ 7.225,02) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 41%. Für andere Arbeiten von Antoine Vollon mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit French boats On An Estuary beobachtet, die im Mai 2013 für USD 23.750,00 (€ 18.286,11) versteigert wurde.
