Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,924.79) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Antoine Vollon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work French boats On An Estuary, which sold at auction in May 2013 for USD 23,750.00 (€ 18,286.11).

Die Arbeit A Silver Jug With Oranges And Flowers von Antoine Vollon kam im September 2015 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.924,79) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
